Durango - 445 Anniversary

Hollywood! John Wayne!  This is what came to mind several years ago, when we heard the word “Durango”.  Nevertheless, there is so much more in the State and its capital which is celebrating its 445th Anniversary with festivities and traditional Fair.

Foremost, its people.  From the time you arrive there is only kindness.  To all of them, Thank you!

This beautiful city with colonial buildings and exemplary cleanliness, has all the modern conveniences as to hotels, restaurants, transportation and shopping malls, which make your visit a delight.

The Archeological Museum of Durango Ganot - Pescherd is dedicated to the study of ancient cultures of the State.  There are pieces of the Paleoindian period (aprox. 15,000 years ago), the Archaic period (aprox. 7,000 years ago) as well as objects from Mesoamerican cultures who inhabited this region from 800 AD to just before the Spanich conquest.  We wish to thank the museum employees for their kind attention.

Let us not forget the movies.  There is an interesting tour to the old Hollywood sets where stars like John Wayne made unforgettable Western films.
