Hispanics Celebrating the 4th of July

July 4 - Independence Day - This, the most important National Holiday, is a time when all citizens get together, bury their differences, and celebrate together.

Here in Rome, Georgia, we meet at Ridge Ferry Park, by the Oostanaula River, where the day begins with fun and games, picnics and at 9:30 at night we enjoy a most spectacular display of fireworks.

In Decatur County, citizens are invited to dress up  wearing  red, white and blue,  and to decorate their cars and bicycles to join the 6:00 pm main street parade.

In Dalton, 45 minutes from Rome, the Department of Parks and Recreation together with the Latin Leaders Coalition, organize a special celebration for the new citizens.

We, from Orgullosamente Hispano, wish to extend our heartfelt congratulations to the American people as well as to all our dear Hispanic brothers.  HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!
