We are starting our 2nd. month in this blog, Orgullosamente Hispano (Proudly Hispanic= trying to highlite a little, of the so very much, that we Hispanics have.

As you know, we are 3 friends, responsible for this blog.  But, it was Laura, Laurita as we call her, who had the great idea for our name Orgullosamente Hispano; from her we get our inspiration and wish to always be better.  Of course, without Fernanda and her ability to translate an idea, planning and giving form to this blog and continuously improving it, we would have nothing.  My friends, I love you, thanks for including me.

I also wish to express my appreciation to my son Luis Abraham Moreno Ballve, my sister Mary Ballve, my son-in-law Carlos Eduardo Rico and my friend Carmen Echeveste, all of them generous contributors with their knowledge and time.

I specially wish to thank Fabiana Porta Lopez, Fernanda´s daughter, who gave us an excellent interview with Federica Quijano on Mother´s Day.  Also Jose Porta Lopez, Fernanda´s husband as well as her incredibly intelligent and cultured father Enrique Estrada, both of whom have written very interesting posts which we will publish in the near future.

Estamos iniciando nuestro 2o. mes en este Blog, Orgullosamente Hispano, tratando de resaltar un poco, de lo mucho, que tenemos todas las personas hispanas.  Ahora que he tenido el privilegio de tratar de escribir acerca de estos temas, me doy cuenta de la enorme riqueza en cultura, tradiciones, arte, lugares, personas, etc. que tenemos.

  Como ya deben saber, somos 3 amigas quienes somos responsables de este sitio y sin embargo fue Laura, Laurita como le decimos, quien tuvo la genial idea de nuestro nombre “Orgullosamente Hispano”, de ella recibimos nuestra inspiración, y sus ideas nos inspiran a superarnos.  Desde luego que sin Fernanda y su abilidad para traducir  esa idea,  formateando este Blog y continuamente mejorándolo, tampoco habría nada.  Amigas, las quiero, gracias por incluirme.

No quiero dejar de agradecer la colaboración de Mary Ballvé, mi hermana; Luis Abraham Moreno Ballvé, mi hijo; Carlos Eduardo Rico, mi yerno; y Carmen Vázquez de Echeveste, mi amiga y comadre, quienes muy generosamente han contribuído con artículos interesantes.

  Especialmente quiero darle las gracias a Fabiana Porta López, hija de Fernanda, quien nos hizo una excelente entrevista con Federica Quijano para el Día de las Madres.  También José Porta López, esposo de Fernanda así como su increíblemente inteligente y culto papá, Enrique Estrada, nos han preparado unos posts increíbles que más adelante publicaremos.  El primero acerca de la Charrería en México y el segundo acerca de Guadalajara – La Perla de Occidente.  A todos ellos, muchas gracias.
