Maite Cobian – Artist of the Month

Maite Cobián was born in Mexico City but has lived in Puebla all of her life.  She is a woman who has an extraordinary artistic talent as well as having exquisite taste which is why we are proud to name her our Artist of the Month.

Her world travels have given her a marvelous knowledge of the art and culture of other countries thus developing in her an impeccable  appreciation of the artistic heritage of mankind.  We can state withouth fear of being wrong, that Maite Cobián has contributed her  grain of sand by leaving to the  world her  own work of great artistic value and beauty.

Maite is a perfeccionist by nature plus her continual drive  to learn and master all the different tecniques lead her to create outstanding pictures.  She has made wonderful paintings in tempera to complement her work in tin with semiprecious stones creating Ikons in the true Bizantine style.
